Artist Statement
Utilizing vibrant colors and confident forms, my sculpture has been called bold and engaging. Each piece is unique in its expressive nature, inviting viewers to engage in its presence. Many of my pieces are intended as seats, benches, and play structures, and have been placed in local parks and other public places, and as additions to sculpture gardens and personal landscapes.
My sculpture distills human and animal forms into representations inspired by a variety of sources, such as folk decorative tradition, with principles of cubism, and elements of geometric abstraction.
I am an established public artist. I have created numerous site-specific projects in Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Hamptons and Cazenovia, NY. I have a team of experienced fabricators. My work is durable and interactive.
